If you are looking for some good fun use a live finger mullet or pin fish for the Tarpon and a top water plug of any choosing for the Jacks. The faster the retrieve the more action you’ll get on the schools of Jacks. The Tomoka Basin around the creek mouths and Oyster bars are holding Reds, Black Drum, Snapper, Trout, and Flounder. You need to have the biggest shrimp you can find in the live well put in on a poppin’ cork with about an 18 inch leader under it. Also you can free line a pig fish, finger mullet, or a croaker over the same places. Here is the bad news for the Summer time, the bait is harder to come by at all the bait shops in Port Orange to Flagler Beach. But if you spend a little time you and net your own bait for the day. head out early in the morning you can find your bait on shallow flats, sand bars, or if you dare oysters bars. There are some shrimp still on the mud flats but they are few and far between
