Daytona Beach Fishing Report

Weather is cooling down and the fishing is heating up. The waters of Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and Port Orange are heating up with the Redfish bite as they are schooling up in the shallows. This is the time of year where you down size your baits. I like using 2″ mud minnows or about a 3″ live shrimp on a 1/8th oz jighead. If redfish is not your cup of tea there is also a sheephead and black drum bite as well. The bait to use is simple live or fresh dead shrimp on fish finder rig. You can also find Pompano and whiting in the Halifax River around Ponce Inlet along with many other species. so put on some warm clothes and wet a line
